Picked up a few jars of marbles. Does anything stick out as being important maybe?

I love marbles. My understanding is that antique marbles have a pontil mark, but other than that I can't help. I know we have marble experts so I interested in what they have to say too.

NICE, but I'm not one of the 'marble' people that ARE here, so wait for them to chime in!!!! LOVE all the colors, but I can't tell old from new!!

Thanks everyone. I will really have to check and see if any of my marbles have mica in them.

I often think search gives different results.
There are times when I search and I find everything I'm looking for. Other times I can't come up with anything close.
Not surprised we come up with different things.

I found a FB group for marbles. I was looking thru posts and they should be able to help. Guess I will be sorting marbles today.

Emmm, the one on the left, maybe ? I have this problem also. I have several bags of them, and not sure what to do with them, afraid I'll undersell some sleepers. ID-ing them is daunting. Sometimes they are ceramic or metal ... or cake, just to add to the confusion. Asking a marble forum group is a GREAT idea! Maybe in another life, I'll find time.

I could have kicked myself the other day I missed an auction on ebay for a load of hand made 1850s German marbles plus onion skin marbles all went for less than a tenner.
