I have 2 paperweights, and I can't decipher the markings. If anyone can identify, I'd sure appreciate it.

First one is large and has a small mark in the center bottom. Kind of looks like the Batman logo to me :(

Second one is common size and has impressed letters in the bottom. Darned if I can figure them out.

    Large:

Last 3 letters on the 2nd one looks like SON to me with maybe a B? in front of the S

I can't make anything of your first one, sorry. The second I tried overlaying a bright color and adding some contrast.....looks almost like it could be something like "P GIBSON, BUT am SO totally NOT SURE of that...........I don't see an 'I' and can't really figure out the letters after the 'Gbso'.......

First isn't a mark, it's just how the core has settled.

Thanks - good to know. Do you think it's Murano?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

@cxgirl , is this about the Gibson you were thinking of in your suggestion?

The text above says they also impressed a date near the word Gibson, so I'm not sure since I don't see a date on the paperweight. It also looks like they mostly did carnival glass items.

Figured out was in front of the G in Gibson. It is a P for Phillip. Charles Gibson's son
