This Bowl was purchased in San Francisco 70's - 80's
maybe at Gump's (Owner told me but I forgot)
It Measures 4" High - 9.25" diameter Metallic Gold Storks
decoration. Can the mark be identified? My hunch was Win NG but now I do not think so.

I think this is japanese eiraku kutani. I'll see if I can find the mark.

Edited: Kutani is the type of porcelain and Eiraku refers to the gold decoration over the reddish orange glaze.

I would call it a Crane.

Thanks to both of you !

It was such a pleasant surprise to find your answers, when we returned from dinner.

I am on the hunt to see if I can find the mark.

    Have a Great Weekend,

    Hi Sue,

I looked around for your mark but didn't find anything. It might just be a generic kutani mark; I'm not sure.

Looks like the same bowl. I cannot read the silver label on mine, but it is the same shape. It is odd that the "Makers Marks"are different,

    Thanks for your trouble

    Sue

Maybe the decorator and not the maker.
