I live in Portland Oregon, and have so all my life. I have collected many glassware pieces over the years only because I thought they were pretty. Many of the items I have collected came from family. I just recently lost my mom and moved my dad into a retirement home. In doing so, my sister and I have had to clean out the family home. This has built a fire under me to clean out my own home so my children won't have to. I am wanting to part with my antiques and since I really only know family history, I decided I need to find out more about the pieces and also find happy homes for them. I thought this forum might be helpful.
Welcome to the Forum, Melinda! Sorry about your situation. Sounds like you have a lot of things to sort through. Everyone here is always happy to help when they can. It’s pretty much a 24 hr site, as it’s many different countries. So be patient for answers, as you never know where the person who can help is!
Welcome Melinda. Very sorry for your loss. Moving must have been a great adjusment for your dad after his loss. Situations like that make you think, and you are right to sort out your things.
