Meissen????

Hey I was wondering if this was possibly meissen. I bought this earlier today. My first thoughts when I picked it up was "this is Meissen, 1800s." But honestly I don't know, I've never have held or seen a antique piece of meissen and also its unmarked.

 

Not my field, but delicacy of coloring of face says quality to me & seems Meissen has done this sort of thing:

Second one says 1 figure has the crossed swords mark on the back. If this was part of a pair, maybe other had the mark? I'm reaching here.

 

So, if it is Meissen. Do you think its 19th or 18th century?

 

I don't think this is Meissen, blue and pink used alone like that doesn't ring true, esp not 18thc. ....also modelling looks a bit more cursory than what I would expect ....still, it is probably Germanic, 19thc, late though ...just my opinion.

 

You're asking the wrong person. I just got interested. Give it some time for the porcelain people to arrive.
