Metal building or wall art

    I have a pair of these items and are wondering if anyone has any idea what they were or what year they may be from. They are heavy metal, 3 holes on bottom and 2 on top (small). Assume the were attached to a wall. About 2 feet tall and no markings that i can find.

    They look brass to me.
    Maybe another 2 or 3 to go with them and fastened to a frame to make a fireplace screen.

    Wow! Thanks! That makes perfect sense now. I m guessing they are brass based on the weight. I never expected such a quick response.
