    Beauteous. Does a magnet stick to it? Well, the screw is not Phillips head, so hopefully that's a good sign.:)

    Good that you asked about the magnet. I thought it is more like copper alloy, bronze or so but an earth magnet attracts to it strong. But with that fininish I don't know, maybe still an alloy of iron and a bit of copper and something else...
    I almost did not buy it because of the screws but because the heads were not Phillips, I did.

    Has to be plated iron. Somewhat typical of Bradley and Hubbard but don't think it is one of theirs. I would think this is European in origin and am on the fence as to age.
