    billyd3us Thanks All my Friends

I recently got 5 of these, all the same size and one small one. I wanted to know if these are vintage, newer or does anyone know where they where made, no labels or marks. I need to know because one of my neighbors wants to buy 2 of them but I don't want to give away . Are they from wal-mart, target, home depot, etc. ? Or vintage ?

    Thank You

    Hi,
Coconut fiber mats were used to line these hangers which were filled with plants.
I used to hang several on my porch and grape arbors.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Greg, you had grape arbors? Was that where you live now?

    Hi Fig,
No I had the arbors in my last house. I had a semi covered arbor with 5 vines which were 7" thick. There was 4 concord purple grapes and one light green seedless variety. Then I had a 16 ft long fence covered with Concord grapes half way to the end of the property. The semi covered arbor had thick rafters and four poles, the floor was old flagstones. The vines covered the roof and one side of the arbor. It was so shady in the summer heat, a wonderful place to relax. It was 12 feet by 15 ft. I always meant to tear out the fence one but the birds and squirrels loved eating those grapes and left the arbor ones alone. I miss the place so much but it was so much work and being three stories tall. I got to the point where I had trouble climbing stairs so down here we came.

Older, I'd say. I use modern ones with coco fibre, planted up and on the house side wall each year. But, they don't have the nice detail those have. Mine are plain wrought iron.
