Metal Simmons dresser/desk

Can anyone shed some light on this? I picked it up for a steal? But didn’t realize it was metal until purchased and now I’m intrigued

Welcome, Danielryan. There are several threads right here on this site about Simmons metal furniture - made for hotel use because it wouldn't burn. This exact piece may not be discussed but you'll get the idea about the history of the company and which items appeal to today's buyers.

BTW if you take more pictures, be sure to provide better lighting on the desk so the details can be better seen.

 

Really all that can be said about Simmons metal furniture has been said in those other threads. The styling on this piece is not the type that aficionados are looking for. The drop front desk makes this a bit unusual.
