Metal vessel?

    758EAF10-76B0-47B1-9E63-91552AC65999.png Approximately 18” tall. Body appears to be brass/copper painted in enamel. Center is solid, so the stem on top is not a chimney. Will hold water, just not sure what is missing or purpose of center hole. No hinges, hole or missing hardware. Have been told it was a lantern, but again, no holes in center to vent out.
