Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse Ashtrays?

I found these today at a local thrift store. When I saw them I immediately remembered a large Walt Disney glass ashtray that I ended up getting over $500 for in a eBay auction (I think because you will never see Disnay put their logo on anything tobacco related anymore).
But what is confusing me is that these are made of plastic!? Maybe a glass ashtray insert goes in them?
Or are they not ashtrays but something else?
    Any information would be appreciated!

Why would there be a hole in the bottom of an ashtray?

If there is an insert bowl, I'm beginning to think these aren't ashtrays. What's the red thing?

I wouldn’t think the Surgeon General would like ashtrays for children. :cigar:

The red things look like utensils.

    Hi,
I have a 1940 ad for Mickey Mouse wallpaper impregnated with DDT to kill mosquitoes, cock roaches and bed bugs. It is a wonder that any of us are still living since we were poisoned since birth.

Well, it's a cup, not an ashtray, but here's something I've had since 1958. At one time, it had a matching cereal bowl, with Mickey Mouse inside. (I have no idea what happened to the bowl.)

I used to call my grandma after breakfast every morning, before leaving for kindergarten. Her first question to me was always, "Did you find Mickey Mouse today?" followed by, "And what about Donald Duck?" (wonderful memories...)
