    Studio pottery , can usually stay close to home , to where it was made.
    It's nice , but finding the maker......... not easy !
    Check pottery from your area first..

    Could be from a potter in the vicinity, but it might have been bought on someone's travels. I think there is a Facebook group that tries to I'd studio pottery. I think that the initials are A R T or T A R. :)

    Not sure what the purpose of this piece is. Is it a lid or something?

    To me it looks more 1980s, but that's just a guess. I like the glaze.
