Mid century chair ID help

    Hi all.

    Am hoping someone can held ID this chair.

    Im fairly sure its mid century.The only lable attached is a lable with Dept of foreign affairs asset lable so am presuming that be government offices somewhere in Ireland as that is where i am.

    Any info on where chair might be made,type of wood etc would be great.

    Yea these are similar but not identical.The joints are noticbly different.

    Looks to be teak and I would think Danish. I am seeing a lot of very similar designs but none exact. There was a lot of unbranded knock-off Danish furniture exported in the 70s-80s. Here in the US, much of it was re-branded as private label furniture and/or sold in department stores. Since yours bears a government label, it may have been comissioned in quantity to specification.

    I'm with Danish too..... Dad had a chair like that to match his teak office set up..

    Upholstery looks pretty good for early mid century. Could be, but could also be somewhat later. Easy to knock out, and production became somewhat generic, and not designer specific. Thailand continued making these for some time. Could you show full picture under the chair (how many times have I written that?)

    (I see brad cross posted similar thoughts).

    If it was purchased by the government, most likely came out of a catalogue of office furnishings.
