Mid century chair maker?

  1. Hi, this was purchased in Alabama. I’m thinking it’s possibly Krohler but as a long term collector I have never seen a chair like this. There are no markings I’m seeing on it. The brass poles attached to the arms are throwing me.

I imagine the brass poles are to stabilize the arms.

I'll look to see if I can find anything but I did want to say that my parents had a swivel rocker with brass poles in the arm very much like yours however I'm thinking there were maybe 3 poles under each arm. I recall the could be turned easily so I think mostly decorative. It's been years since that chair was around so I don't remember very well. I recall it being turquoise originally but when it got too stained my mom painted it light brown.

Anyway, lots of their furniture was Lane so that's a possibility.

If that is the original fabric, it screams 1970s.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

The brass rods reminded me of 1950s, but the lines of the chair really look more like 1970s. And the color, of course, as clutteredcloset mentioned.
