Mid-Century Silver Spoons ID

    hello, what would you call these spoon. Christening spoons? Birthday spoons haha I haven’t a clue.

    They have two different makers. There are three made by A L Davenport, two of them in 1947 and one in 1954.
    Then there are two Kirwan & Co Ltd. ones from 1957 as well as another the same maker from 1956

    All are from Birmingham and all are idenitically Engraved with the monogram RGC.

    A christening spoon would be a single spoon.
    RGC could be a hotel, restaurant, company logo?

    Golf Club, I suspect. Possibly prize spoons.

    They're coffee or teaspoons (depending on size), reproductions of a much older seal-top spoon - might be able to track down the original in some British museum, would guess a 17th century piece. They were common through most of the 20th century, produced by numerous manufacturers, somebody might even still be making them...

    Yeh that’s why I was well interested I thought they were reaaally old initially xD but yeh I still didn’t do too bad. £20 isn’t too bad
