Military Pin WWII

    Whether it's authentic or not, I have no idea.
    But I did easily find this on Wikipedia:

    "Emblem of the German Reich for a German Army (Heer) helmet, model 1942"

    I checked the helmet photo online. Typically it is painted not like a actual metal pin welded on. This piece shall be a decoration on other type of uniform. [​IMG]

    Looks pretty rough and poorly finished. I'd be skeptical.

    The Scumbags usually made better quality pieces. This might be some sort of replica from a costume.

    I have original German pins that my uncle brought back from WWII. As Evelyb said, it looks like a replica. It doesn't have the quality of a genuine pin

    This is a poorly made reproduction of a shield which attaches to the tropical hat of the German Africa Corps.

    I would agree if it is aluminum it is an army shield (One of a pair) used on a German pith helmet it North Africa, Italy and Sicily.
