I doubt you'll ever be able to attribute it to a specific maker, this type of pottery was made in large numbers and from all over. The fact that it's an unusual item and in such good condition will be the selling point.

I had to figure out a box full of similar little liquor/liqueur bottles years ago, so this was pretty easy for me, LOL. Mohawk brand liquor is what it held, though I never did figure out who made the pottery bottles and flasks for Mohawk.

Here's a few with labels still intact:

Okay - I am going to make a complete ass of myself, and hopefully NOT upset anyone with my curiosity...............

The title reads "Mini Spatterware Nottle". Is the word Nottle just a typing error (as in Bottle), or are these smaller pieces actually called a nottle?

Mansons, I wondered the same thing, so I looked it up.

All I found was this, in the Urban Dictionary, after which I decided it must be a typo!

    Hot Nottle
Typically an apelike male. With a large beer gut and a balding head. Can refer to his intense sexual prowess. Or his tendency to s*** his pants.

THAT explains MORE than you will ever know.........................

I will admit that I did NOT try to look this up because IF it had been a term used for a specific small bottle it may not have been in explained as such - as in it may have been a term used solely among collectors, etc.

Sorry. Typo. It was too late to edit the title when I found out.

In retrospect, it was fortuitous, as I now know what the young lady that lives in my building has been calling me...............................:pompous:
