Kind of a funny story with this lamp. There is an antique store a couple doors down from one of the thrift stores i visit frequently.
Nice store that has about 50 dealer booths. I've been in there a few times but never purchased anything. prices are too high to be able to make a profit selling anything from there, Until today. This dealer had this lamp base listed as a perfume bottle with no lid. price $4.00 and a half off sticker attached also. I kind of chuckled to myself and went straight to the cashier not saying a word.
Can someone ID this and hopefully give me approximate age?
    It is 4" tall

I found one on pinterest (no additional info.) with the original shade and one on Tia's that says maker unknown but with a patent date of Feb. 27, 1877.
