Hi all, I’m hoping someone can advise the likely age of this Mintons lioness figure. It’s 21cm long and has a raised Mintons England mark on the base. C1900?? Many thanks.

Thanks,I’m curious what the suggested dating is based on, this impressed mark was used earlier but I’ve got no idea for how long.

It's difficult to see from your photograph but... It is marked Minton, isn't it? AI appears to be responsible for the c 1900s date on the internet. Panthers were a popular Art Deco design motif and that dusty rose colorway is as well. As an educated guess, I'd say 1930s or early 1940s.

Many thanks, yes it’s not well marked but says Mintons England. That approach to dating makes sense to me - I can find no clear info on the signature but definitely found the same Mintons England mark used on a completely different piece with a cypher for 1904 so perhaps it was a standard mark used for decades.
FYI I’ve seen this lioness figure in yellow or black as well.
