Okay guys! What can anyone tell me about this interesting mixed metal bee ring? (it was owned by my grandfather!). If you look close, there is an image of some sort on the bottom of the ring! (opposite the "925" mark!) see photos! I look forward to any responses!

There seems to be some gold on the outside of the ring. I'd bet on the bee part being sandcast, and have to wonder if that second mark isn't an artifact of the casting process.

Is it supposed to be this bee?

    Tetradrachm of Ephesus.
I'm not a coin person, but this seems to be the subject of the ring
