Modern pottery wall piece, Mexico? Spain? Not sure what to call this?

Approx 8", not trying to find the maker because I think that would be impossible.

Just curious what to call this and/or any keywords, etc. Would it be for matches, candle, incense? Anyone seen similar? Thanks!

 

I'd say match holder....there are round ones...even without strikers..

 

A little font for holy water. Many people in southern Europe have them in their home. We used to have them here as well, and you still see them in old farmhouses.
I can't find a Spanish one, but here is an antique Flemish one instead:

I am stretching my imagination to identify the OP's lady as Elizabeth...but truth compels me to say that said lady looks as if her hula hoop is just out of sight.

And, if she looks saintly to you, let's hope St.-Peter-at-the-Gate shares your opinion. (Which would certainly improve MY chances!
