clock 2.jpg One of the 5 impressive clocks in my late mothers home. I believe she bought in in France post WW2. It has the 2 heavy weights not seen in the picture.

for all clocks........ our experts need to see the backs open and the mechanism inside......
I know it's hard , but the workings are what's important here and may be different from the wood carving origin..

I will have to get them unpacked. One is Gilded wood maybe and the other 4 are Brass?

The four large Brass/ones have all the original parts. (not like a clock mechanism inside a clock) We used to wind them up when I was a kid and with the weights and they would go for ever. The 1st one I have never seen the the back or inside. It will take a week to get pictures of the guts.

I used to see them at auctions, but that was decades ago so I could be wrong about them being Dutch ...memory goes y'know:oldman:

I was with my mother as a child when she found some of her treasures. These were definitely outside of Paris, 1965-ish.

Like blooey, my first thought was Dutch, but I have no idea where I picked up that idea.
