...but in my defense - it was really really pretty...and it was INCREDIBLE value.

....but only because you beat me and a bunch of others to it. That's a NICE pen!

I found it on a local sales site. The guy was pretty eager to get rid of it. Story is that he bought it in Milan while he was in Italy visiting relatives. He had no need for the pen anymore and just wanted it gone. Because of that, he put it up for sale at an extremely low price (for what it is, anyway), but I recognised the genuine article when I saw it, and bought it.

"Purloined" is such an ugly word!...

...I rather think that I relocated the pen to a domicile in which it would be loved, appreciated, and well-exercised :)

Hmmm . . . methinks that story is rubbish. Or the guy has what I call a lead eye, can't see the beauty and quality. It's more likely that it was a gift from an ex and he just wants her gone and anything that reminds him of her. Or it was her pen. HaHa!

If I could find a pencil or pen that would improve my handwriting, I would be all over that bad boy.

What item are you using as a prop holder for the pen? Just curious.

Can't imagine anyone that eager to rid themselves of a pen. The very worst it could have expected from me would be to disappear into the junk drawer.

The price was suspiciously low, but it was what it was. And the pen is 100% genuine. I don't know why he let it go for such a low price, but thusfar, I haven't woken up to find any ghosts, demons or decapitated babies in my room.

People hardly use them anymore, so if you can find a cheap silver one, they do make great pen-rests. Very stable, and they look fancy.

I bought one over the summer, but it was relatively huge. Probably for a carving knife rather than a place setting knife. The seller didn't look and see the sterling marks, and bedarned if anyone else had either because I got there the second day.

Look at those knife rests, folks!
