Featured Montblanc Meisterstuck 144 Fountain Pen

I've been selling a LOT of stuff lately, so it's perfectly OK for me to add another pen to my collection...right?

This diminutive Montblanc 144 (the smallest pen, with the snap-on cap), was part of a lot of three pens I bought. I have added it to my collection, and I'm going to sell off the other two pens. My collection of MBs is now four!

From top to bottom: 149, 146, 145, and 144...

There is actually another MB pen which is even SMALLER than this, which is the MB 114 (commonly called the 'Mozart'). It's absolutely TINY, but since it only takes cartridges, I'm not gonna buy one. I hate buying cartridges.

I am, however, looking for the matching blotter for my inkwell. Unfortunately, like anything Montblanc, they tend to be stupendously expensive.

Wonderful. I like the inkwell. Though i never knew why Montblanc makes inkwells since it does not make dip pens. But beautiful all the same.

 

There's a few companies that still make inkwells. I think it's more as a pretty ink-storage device to keep on one's desk, rather than anything else.
