I have a Moorcroft vase that I am looking to sell. Can anyone help me identify the vase pattern and approximate market value. Mine is 19 inches tall.

I saw one here with a similar shape and colouring, with a value of $4000-6000 US.

Mine looks similar but I believe it is an Iris Flambe. What do you think would be a fair price to sell it at, with the intention to sell it rather quickly?

    Thanks for your help!

@kellaurm I'm not sure why but your photos aren't showing up for me.

Her gallery album is set to Private.

@kellaurm You need to go back to your album and change the setting to Public so we can see your photos.

Wow, what a beautiful piece! Signed William Moorcroft 1928-49. I would look under 'Orchid' or 'Spring Flowers' rather than Iris. The large size pieces still get a good dollar, and the Flambe glaze will increase the value - where I am anyways, not sure about other areas of the world. I'm not sure if it would be in that dollar range as the other one though, wait for input from others:)

I don't think book values mean much.

Janetpjohn. I agree. That's why I said market value. I expect it to go only for 1-2000.

    Welcome,kellaurm.

Disclaimer - I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MOORCROFT products.

    Lots of questions, though.
    1. Where do you plan to offer it for sale?
    2. Why take $1,000 if you could maybe get 5 or 6 times that?
    3. Is there a good reason for getting rid of it quickly. None of my business if so, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,??
    4. What other research have you done?
    5. Did you check out this site? They have many for sale. Discontinued ones.

If you haven't scanned their site, I suggest you might do so, AND ask them if they're interested in handling it. They certainly have experience, but that doesn't mean they are anyone's fist choice in buying or selling.

If, for instance, you're thinking of eBay, there is no harm in putting it up for auction at $3,700 and see what happens. You can always drop the price and relist it.
    6. Are you experienced with eBay selling? Some have sold there over $3,000.

Sorry, but way too many other questions in my mind.
Give is some more hints on what you would like to do, and what you have or have not done with similar items.

    Please, and thanks.

This is a Walter Moorcroft orchid and dates to around 1945 to 1949 ,
The initials on the base are Walter's not William's
