Picked these up today at the charity shop. Last time I found some they sold well so I scooped these up.

They look a bit older than the last ones I found though, do we have anyone who could shed light on the approximate age on these beads here?

    Thanks!

The interlocking blue and red beads are known as "snake beads". According to the folks at The Bead Chest, early 20th century -

"Snake beads are vintage African trade beads originally produced in former Czechoslovakia and exported to West Africa. The shape of these beads is inspired by interlocking snake vertebrae. While real snake vertebrae beads have been traded in Africa for centuries, glass alternatives such as these appeared only in the 20th century."

If y'all didn't get there first I'd have scooped those. It's hard to date trade beads for certain, but they're nice.

I’d guess 70s on the first one-very nice with the brass beads. Worked for an African importer in NY at that time.
