More dolls.....

Got these in a lot, don't know what they are called or a thing about them, except the one is a clothespin with crepe type paper and a face cut out of a picture or magazine. Any info appreciated. They are between 3 and 6" high.

 

Nippon - from Japan early 1900s
One with yellow, Nancy Ann. Early as her arms and legs don't move.
White one - Frozen Charlotte.

Hi Jaime, Clutteredcloset has it right, first doll Nippon, made in Japan ... second doll is a homemade Clothespin doll .. these were handmade profusely in the early 1900's ... third doll is an early Nancy Ann Story Book Doll ... fourth doll is a cheaply made Japanese doll. All are cute in their own way but not of much value I'm afraid ... Joy.

 

Not quite a frozen Charlotte.....not with jointed arms. BTW, the copper wire holding one arm is not a very good replacement, but it seems to work!

Have to agree on the copper wire, quite awkward. I do have a frozen Charlotte doll so was familiar with it, would these dolls with just the arms attached simply be called antique bisque dolls?
