Found this today. I have a feeling it's plate but the letter L in the mark makes me think it's an assay mark maybe. Not seen the snow flake mark before. Any ideas please?

It's definitely not an assay mark. I looked through the British silverplate maker list on silvercollection.it but did not see a K&D there. Could just be an obscure maker.
