Seems lately like I have been seeing/getting/wanting/needing a bunch of stuff I can't identify. Usually, I do okay with most stuff but it just seems like the last few months have been the exceptions.

This 9" vase is no exception. Unfortunately, this is the only picture available as it is part of a box lot of 5-10 glass vases at an upcoming local auction. Looks like a Czech-inspired or even a Moser vase. Whatcha all think?

At first glance I would have said Kralik but there was a discussion on a Facebook page about one similar. Let me see if I can find it (I don't recall if there was a definitive answer)

I found the discussion and it wasn't focused on a piece like yours but it did lead me in the right direction for yours.

I feel pretty comfortable saying this is a Kralik piece with a "Veined" decor (Kralik Veined)

What about the top edge? It looks like it is ground flat and not polished/fire polished. Does this make a difference? I tend to shy away from pieces with that flat ground edge, as not being quite finished enough? I think I would definitely have picked this one up though...very nice!

Maybe there was a metal piece on top originally?

The top edge is as I would expect, it's finished. Prone to chipping, too.

If you look at the threading and slight flare of the top, that would make a lid or collar tough to fit.

The flat ground rim is fairly common on some of these Czech pieces

It looks like it belongs on a pulp sci-fi magazine cover from the 1930s.
