I was told the shield was a prop from the movie 300 - any way to tell? All the ones I've seen are plastic - this is heavy & some type of metal(I think).
The sword I know is a repro but I can't find who the maker's mark is - can anyone help me?
Thank you; I appreciate any help.

I think the back is metal and the front is some sort of cast resin.

Because there are a lot of them out there with nearly identical dings and dents.

Would not be surprising for a movie to use cast pieces, but I think these are just replicas for fans (too many out there, too easy to get, for too little money).

Although, I will say, yours looks better. But that's not provenance.

There is no registry of maker's marks. If the mark was registered as a trademark you may be able through the trademark registry.

I found (finally!) a mark on the other side of the sword - it's a Del tin; a very good maker of reproduction swords.
So I'm thinking I'm going to put the sword & shield up on eBay as a group, and I know the shield is a Frank Miller Spartan 300 replica & they were from medieval times (right?), but can someone tell me what age the sword is suppose to be from? Can I list it under medieval reproductions like the shield?
Thanks (again!) for all the help/info

I believe the movie 300 was about the Battle of Thermopylae - meaning the setting is 480BC - not medieval.
