    Hi all,

Can anyone help me identity whether this is a mass produced print or a lithograph or something of value please?

Judging by the format of the telephone number of the framer it was framed not after 2000, but not before 1995.

Measuring it would probably be wise but I can’t find my measure at the moment.. can do later..

    Any info appreciated.

    Thanks a lot,

    Sam

I don't know how large the original or yours is? I had one similar poster in 1990s that indeed looked like a beautiful "original" and some decorator (company?) had glued it onto particle board. When I stripped off the back paper, it was particle board. So even if mine had been original, I didn't care, gave it to a friend as a gift because she loved it. I visit it when I go see her! :cat:

A rough guess of the size of mine would be about 2.5' x 1.2'.

So what do you guys think? Is it too hard to tell from those pics? Is this similar to those lithos seen on liveauctioneers or is this similar to those mass produced prints you can find on eBay. Any advice as to how I can proceed?

    Thank you,

    Sam

Jivvy the research is my favorite

An observation: your piece does not have the "Grand Prix Paris 1900" text.

Caveat: I don't know what that means as far as value.

Yes mine is about that too actually.. I wonder who would be able to tell me whether it's a litho. Maybe an auction house?

Yes, possibly an auction house, a museum, or a local print shop may know. Can call around.
