Multi colored vase

    Red green and blue braided vase. Inside is glazed. No makers signature. any info would be nice. Thanks in advance.

    Ive learned that the coil method of throwing a pot is much more difficult than one would think,but that being said I agree with Bakers.

    I made it. 9th grade ceramicsI .. good eyes you two. :) I slipped one of mine in there for the fun of it

    To make it I layered closed coils of clay on top of each other and filled in the cracks between with clay/slip on the inside and then used a few different glazes. The teacher warned that a red glaze doesn't always come out of the kiln as red and maybe not to use it but it came out red and I'd say great! -j

    One should score each coil on top and bottom(if not the base) to allow bonding, and apply slip to the scores. (Ceramics 1 lesson of the day)
