Featured Murano Glass Boot Vase

    Bought this small vase yesterday

    Clearly signed with 'Murano', and yours truly, at the store, also seeing a signature of an artist, just had to have it.
    I couldn't read the signature, so I took a pic to post here and ask if anyone could read it.
    Took the pic, looked at it to see if it was good enough to post, and I see that the singature is ...

    So, not a signed piece as I was hoping, but still happy with it as the priece wasn't bad.

    I haven't been able to find another one like this online. I saw a few other boot-shaped vase, some sold as Murano, but without any sticker or engraved name, and others sold as Venetian or Bohemian glass. And none with the images like this one.

    Can anyone tell me a bit more about this vase? (age?)

    I've seen some Murano pieces being sold with the description that the gold parts on their items are 24K gold leaf. Is that accurate? And would that also apply to this one?

    Agree, looks the same style and I wouldn't be surprised if yours is also Empoli glass decorated in Murano. It is sought after.
