My most recent addition to my collection.
19th century in the Kikka chrysanthemum (Kikkagata) shape
On the back is a Chinese mark used on Japanese wares in the Edo period
In Japanese it reads Ki gyuoku hou tei no chin
My little plate measures 3 7/8" diameter.
    Thanks for looking.

I was just viewing this same plate on eboo. The seller is asking $95.00. Five minutes later I get an offer from him for $75.00. How did he know I viewed it? I can't send offers unless they are watching it.

Because "big brother" told him you clicked on the listing and stayed there long enough that you might be interested, it happens to me all the time. In fact, it happened to me this morning.

I bought a little enameled brass basket with rhinestones. It likely held two small perfume bottles, as evidenced by two small circular marks on the bottom. I periodically look for bottles that might fit inside the basket. They can't be bigger than 1 1/4" across & need to be about 3" tall or less. I saw a listing that had at least 1 that looked promising but when I clicked on the listing & looked at all of the individual photos I determined that none would work. I had an offer for a lower price waiting for me when I turned my computer on this morning.

I ignore them as do many of the members I send offers to every day.:rolleyes::p

it’s amazing how many of them are ignored entirely. I probably spend twenty minutes a day sending offers. I used to not send them because I thought it kind of cheapened my product and looked a bit desperate. A mega ebooer whose videos I watch every once in a while swears by them though. So now I send them, but not on new listings. I wait until an items been up a few weeks or a month or so until sending offers on it usually. There are still some items I don’t send offers on but I will on most. Your answer is correct though, they don’t need to be watching, just to have clicked. eBay will only allow a user to get a certain number of offers in a day though. They don’t want anyone bombarded with seller offers. Sometimes you’ll try to send an offer and eboo will tell you there’s no one to send it to, despite the fact that they’ve offered you the option. I assume this is when the perspective buyer has already gotten one or two from other sellers that day. So if you’re in the business of sending offers out you should do it early and/or often.

I send offers on everything. If I get an alert from eBay just after listing an item or within the first week or so the offer is for 10% which is standard at most shops & shows. However, if it's been hanging around for a long time & I'm sick of dealing with it that offer can go up to 30 to 40%. ;):hilarious::hilarious:
