Ugh, I thought I embedded pictures from my gallery. Apparently not. Lemme see if I can fix this.

Hey Aquitaine, thanks for the lesson. I'll try the above method next time. I know Gallery space is limited here to 50mb?

Wonder if this is a hobby mold.

Wait for the pottery people to show up. May not be until tomorrow. Be sure to check back.

I'm thinking home hobby mold, too. HH could be the initials of the hobbyist.

Thanks, hadn't even considered that but I know eve less about pottery/ceramics than I do glass ;) So is the tell the type of material used or the shape of the base maybe?

Really more a combination of things.
The little bumps, the scratched in HH, the large hole, the thin ceramic, the way the inside looks, and the type of glaze.

Looks like porcelain slip poured into a mold to me, made by a hobbyist, most likely HH initials. The HH was carved into the bottom, perhaps some mold joints were filed down smooth (I cannot see this), and then the piece was fired. Next it was fired with clear glaze probably in a home style kiln.

Yours have a very nice look to them. They emulate an old style of pottery, perhaps the mold looks similar to an old Camark Pottery style (which is beautifully and colorfully glazed) but many styles are similar and with an Art Nouveau / Art Deco / early 1930s look.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Already have a keener eye for pottery than I did a couple days ago :)
