    Very very nice indeed. Yes it certainly does have value. Lots of these have damaged lacquer cases but yours in in beautiful shape. Lovely piece.

    It is beautiful. It is TE-OH sometimes that is hard to see on the stamp. Made in Japan. Items for export after 1921 had to have Japan stamped, prior to that Nippon was used. So your piece is before 1921.
    It They refer to this as a sweet meat or condiment tray. Yours happens to be very well executed. A highly skilled painter rather than studio painter. It is decorated in gold gilt and moriage. I am guessing low end 149.00 high end 300.00 but others will be by with more info I am sure!
