    Bought this piece 20ish years ago, it was in a jewelry box at an estate auction. Found several nice treasures but this is by far my favorite piece of jewelry ever- except for the ones given to me out of love blah blah. I wore this out literally. It seems like it’s made of pot metal, very soft. The metal isn’t very pretty but somehow it works with the colorful stones. I say stones but I’m assuming glass. The tiny ones have been replaced a couple of times. The leaves keep breaking off. But now it’s breaking where each section is joined. Probably not practical to have it repaired? 79A0AC66-9662-4D3B-9DA8-564C5C77855C.jpeg 3A541C51-04B8-4BB2-B1A9-0E24B9E2ED99.jpeg 276BE8E0-9B85-4386-93DA-F68CBDEB110F.jpeg 3717CCB1-EE11-4AF3-9B76-6F26F2D4800B.jpeg

    Maybe it is old and tired and deserves a rest in its old age.;)
    It is pretty, but the metal is not top quality, and fixing it would be too expensive.

    Maybe you could convert some good segments separately into earrings and a pendant?
    @kyratango , any ideas?

    I would cheat and use thin wire to join it back together.

    Hi...it is pretty and if you love it, just check with a jeweler. Looks to me, and I am not an expert on jewelry repair...that even if the metal don't match perhaps they can solder the link together. Just a thought.

    Like you said, it’s pot metal and very soft. Most jewelers won!t touch costume, they work on precious metals only.

    Apart sewing it on a ribbon after putting together again the links, I don't see other options than yours:):kiss:

    I would buy a small shadow box frame and sew it to some material that also has a special memory. My bedroom walls are filled from floor to ceiling with framed memory pieces mostly art work from my travels but also three dimensional art.

    There is a Facebook site, Restore Repair Repurpose Vintage Costume Jewelry, run by Sandy Campbell. The woman is an absolute wizard when it comes to repairs and freely shares her knowledge and suggestions for restorations. There is a file on the left side of the site that is a goldmine of information.
    It's a closed group but a request to join is simple and quick.

    I agree, I love bits of jewellery like this. The person to contact is Sandy from the Facebook vintage repair and restore jewellery page.
    She has brilliant files on repairing pieces and often shows bits she has repaired for customers. Cant hurt to contact her to see if she can help or has bright ideas. They are a bit scary over there (no going off topic or you get a slap) but it looks like she's very experienced with costume so that's what I would do.

    I’ll check out the suggestion for the Facebook restore sight by Sandra. Thank you all for the tips. It’s like not being able to wear your favorite jeans anymore cuz you wore too many holes in them
