Mystery box ....?

    Any thoughts out there as to what this might be? It's the size of a chest/footlocker, made of tin, aluminum and metal. Fairly heavy. Missing lid. There are 3 cylinder shaped lids that when removed, open sup to an empty hole and at the bottom of each hole are 3 weighted discs. It's a little mind boggling, but any thoughts would help.
