Hope springing eternal, and all, but these two have intrigued me since they arrived from wherever it was. They have an embossed stamp, possibly CU, but none of my searches can find it. They are pretty little things, 7cm tall. Any ideas? Thanks

I honestly can't see the seals on your glasses too clearly, so I don't know if these are comparable or not...

Holmegaard had a line called Viking that featured little embossed thematic seals on each piece.

I remember a Viking head & some sort of Viking ship, but there was also a Viking horn that bears some resemblance to what I can see of the seals on your glasses.

    Here's a set I found online:

    Maybe...?

A "thematic seal" is a far better description, thanks SBSVC. I've Google Imaged Holmegaard marks and don't see these or any similar pieces. I'm pretty sure the mark is C U, but they might be any old rubbish. Still, I think I will drag them indoors for a bit -- they have a certain charm. Thanks for your input, SB. Much appreciated. There are so many marks out there ...

That's not a CU; it was driving me nuts until ...it looks like Turkish. Would that make more sense of them?

I don't know the mark either, but on editing one of pics and zooming in on it, looks almost like EU.

Wow, that's tenacious! They are only small -- 3 inches and 2.8 inches. It was just on the offchance someone knew and I'm still guessing CU. I don't think Turkey ... Many thanks, all of you. Most kind. P1060136.jpg
