NA Peublo pottery or from points further South?

Picked both these up at the same thrift about 10 days apart so don't know if they came in together or not. First is about 7" diameter x 4" tall. Second is 3 1/2" tall x 4" diameter. I am leaning toward points further South on the first. Second is a bit of an enigma. My initial thought was Mata Ortiz but the bottom is not completely round. It does sit flat. The decoration almost looks like it was done with a marking pen. It could be cold-painted but definitely not fired in. Would love to find they are NA but at $1.99 each won't be disappointed if they are not.
