I'm sure there are fellow joolies (and others) who know the name of this kind of glass, and where it could have been manufactured. The bracelet is Palestinian.
I see these cabochons regularly in Middle Eastern jewellery of the 30s and 40s, could have been imported from anywhere, but is that a period to go by? It would fit in with the mark on the back.

The bracelet. Classic Palestinian panel bracelet style.

    Thank you for looking.

Thanks Phaik, I was thinking along the lines of dragon skin, snake skin, but what do I know. The costume joolies know much more about this.
Yes, I just got it, planning to sell at some stage. I already have a similar Palestinian silver bracelet without 'stones'. This one is silver plated, but an eye-catcher, and handmade just like the silver ones.

Thanks aaron. Must be some pretty frogs to come out of those turquoise eggs.;) Maybe I should put them in water and see what happens.:hilarious:
Yes it is a pretty bracelet. I love the style and love that turquoise colour.

It is nothing that stands out in my mind in American costume, so can't help. But maybe others will take a look, so stay tuned. As a default I might call them "art glass".

Perhaps better, use one of the names above. Maybe you will start a new trend!

Yes it does look a bit like spiderweb turquoise. But Middle Eastern cultures generally prefer their turquoises without veins.
I think this has to do with some glass tradition. The closest thing I found was lampwork glass beads, but these cabochons seem to be solid glass.
Yes, art glass is also a term I have been looking at, art glass beads or cabochons, nothing so far.
Could be specifically Middle Eastern, so I looked at Middle Eastern glass, Syrian, Turkish, Egyptian, Persian, nothing.:(

A glass term trendsetter, why not.:)

We can dream of 100's of baby bracelets appearing - swimming around before your eyes. More likely however - it'll just make it get wet :D

Oops, I may already have killed them. I washed the bracelet in soapy water when it came in.:sorry:

Nah - you just gave them a bath. Even baby bracelets need to be washed up now and then.

You're welcome - just got lucky poking around a bit (prompted by Johnny mentioning that they are made to look like turquoise). Poking around a bit more I see some are listed as German - some as Czech. Glassies will probably know better.

Yes, found some more now, they are listed as Czech or Czechoslovakian. Makes sense, great glass and glass bead manufacturers.
    Thanks again.
