Native American Indian turquoise necklace

    I was wondering if anyone can tell me more about this necklace, like what tribe if any or a hobbi 016.JPG 020.JPG 021.JPG 026.JPG est, age to, has the fishing like going through it, not sure when they started using that fro stringing.

    It's more Asian than Native American. The clasp is straight out of India. Those heishi however....dunno. Hobbyist maybe?

    You still got a good deal; you couldn't get the heishi for that, never mind the chalk turquoise.

    The "heishi" looks like stone made in India,inexpensive compared to real shell.

    Think this is home hobbyist. All the components are readily available through any beading supply source. The brass bead tips, hook & eye clasp with the figure 8 shaped 'eye' particularly grab my attention. The beads themselves might be stocked anywhere they have beads.

    Thanks everyone, I'll try and stay away from buying crap. Just wish I knew more because my home is getting packed like a sardine can.
