Women and Kids take the best old photos. These seem to all come from Texas.
    This first is a postcard

Unfortunately there's nothing written on the back. I will say she was probably from the Brownwood Texas area. That's where all these seem to be from.

That look in her eyes is much like a modern woman's. You could meet her walking down the street almost anywhere in the Western world nowadays.
I'd like to think she kept some of her independence, and not get tied down by the strict rules a woman was bound by in those days.

Brownwood, TX didn't even have a population of 4,000 until 1910. Someone will know who those people are. You might want to share your images with one of the organizations here:

    Excellent observation an' suggestion, Debora!
Local historical societies thrive on just these kinds of opportunities to add links to their archives.
Donation of these Cabinet Cards would be even better, if Snowman can forego the profit on them.

The local beauty's bodice has a "pigeon breast" which dates the photograph to 1900-1910-ish. She may show up in a local high school year book.
