Necklace Identification PLS HELP!

    925 is sterling silver. Stones are marcasite and glass. Looks relatively modern to me in style.

    It's curb link chain. Think the metallic glittery things are steels, not marcasites; other eyes may see differently. The colored stones I believe to be glass. Striking piece nonetheless. :)

    The chain is not the same throughout. It has these parts to it that I dont know how to describe. It looks like the chain melts and then begins again. Any idea what thats called?

    @Hollyblue is our pro on this. Meanwhile, I'll jump in & say I doubt there's any technical term for it. If I were writing a description, words I might use are, segmented, interrupted, & punctuated.

    The photos aren't close enough to see,it looks like sections of the chain were soldered together as there is also heavy solder by the jumps rings and clasp.
