Need an Oil Lamp Guru

    I have one that I can't seem to identify its pedigree. It is very heavy, over 5.5 pounds. It has the look and feel of leaded glass, and might have a tint of amethyst color to it. About 11.5 inches tall, and 6+ at the base.

    I think you're right about the lead content; that's a heavy one! No history for you except that I feel that it was probably made 1890-1910 at the end of the Victorian period. No ideas on value except that I have rarely seen any similar examples go for more than $50.00 :(

    Thanks ghopper....I'm sure I only paid about $10 for it. Unless I know it is special I have a limit in that range. Hasn't failed me yet.
