NEED HELP 1983 FRAMED CHESHIRE CAT ART

I found this old piece of art. It appears to be done with markers or some type of fine tip. Its signed Cassidy 83 in the bottom right corner and the actual piece appears to be in very good condition.

My Questions

What is the artists full name?

Estimated value of the piece?

Is the artist still around?

 

Is this a cartoon image?

 

Carsidy?

 

Cassidy 83 and Yes its a character from alice and wonderland in 1983

 

Just looked at it with a magnifier it could be Carsidy it looks like the marker that was used bled into the material. It is original and not a reprint you can see hairs from the paper and all bleeding from markers.

 

Must have some association with this.

I see it as Cassidy.

Appears to me, to be an art project, as opposed to anything finer. Not sure if more will be uncovered on this one.

Ages line up pretty well.

 

beyond a long shot I'm afraid - no place on her website shows anything similar to coping ideas from others.
