Need Help Identifying 2 Antique Warrior Statues

    Hello Everyone,

I need your help identifying a pair of antique warrior statues I purchased last year. They resemble German Landsknecht soldiers of the early 16th century but I have been unable to find any specific information on them. One is holding what looks like an arquebusier, the other has a crossbow. The are both18 inches in height and are quite heavy, presumably made of spelter or iron. They are not signed and I don't see any stamp or other identifying marks.

    Thanks!

It might help if you uploaded a large and clear pic of the shield. That might be a clue or they might be fantasy, but one never knows. Good luck.

Thank you for the suggestion. Here are two photos of the base. 4.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Since you used a word unfamiliar to me (arquebusier), I thought I'd reply in hopes that somebody more knowledgeable will provide some help.
