Need help identifying a japanese arists signature please

Heya all,

I bought a rather beautiful, i believe Japanese walking stick, the piece is of the highest quality, however i can't find a signature anywhere, the closest i have to one is a sort of a house and a ladder on the bottom of the handle, see photos. Would appreciate any and all help, cheers.
