Need help identifying artist

    I recently inherited a painting from a cousin who moved here from Germany in the late 60's/early 70's. I have tried to research using the artist lookup references provided in another post to this forum but having no luck. I am assuming it is a German artist, but not 100% sure. This is the first piece of art I have tried to research, any guidance or information would be greatly appreciated!

    That's what I was thinking as well. Found a Theodor Schuhmann, but signature is cursive and not split as in this painting. Also found A.E. Schuhmann but no signature to compare.
