Featured Need help identifying pendant's gemstone and stamp

    A very pretty lavalière pendant, MT
    It could be citrine or treated amethyst, but some other stones can also be that colour. It is impossible to tell from a photo, best to have it tested so you can replace the missing stone.

    Thanks for the info! Yes, it sounds like a good idea to have it tested so I can match the stone. I hope I will be able to find a bead that's very similar in size and shape!

    It is a virtual certainty that if it is citrine in color now, it didn't start out that way. Because all the photos have been taken in light with backdrop that makes whole pic yellowish, not sure of color of stone & thought smoky quartz also possible. AJ is quite correct: most 'citrine' we see is heat treated amethyst. It's all quartz.
